1.Director of Therapeutic Antibody Discovery

Key Responsibilities:
• Select antigen during the monoclonal antibody discovery phase, setup and implement immunization strategies and generate, evaluate and screen hybridomas;
• Leadership role for the construction of high-quality human antibody libraries and for the identification of novel fully human monoclonal antibodies as CAR-T candidates and therapeutic antibody candidates;
• Set up strategies and lead efforts for the humanization of murine and camelid antibodies, for the affinity maturation of antibody candidates as well as for the optimization of antibody biophysical properties;
• Lead the effort of discovering other novel structural antibodies including bi-specific/multi-specific antibodies and single domain antibodies;
• Collaborate with other professional project teams to ensure rapid and high-quality project advancement;
• Based on unmet medical needs, identify research areas and conduct research on novel targets;
• Responsible for the integrated management of hybridoma or antibody engineering laboratory equipment, reagent supplies, budgets etc.;
• Responsible for the coaching, training, and management of the hybridoma or antibody engineering team members.

Position Requirements
PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Protein/Antibody Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry or 8+ years of academic work experience with a track record of scientific accomplishments as evidenced by related publications, patents, or pipeline contributions;
• Hands-on experience in developing monoclonal antibody therapeutics using hybridoma platforms;
• Experience working with phage displays, yeast displays, CAR-T and bi-specific/multi-specific antibodies;
• A track record of leading biologics discovery teams to advance biologics projects to the pre-clinical stage;
• Have strong team management and leadership skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in leading cross-functional project teams in biologics R&D;
• Work productively in an interdisciplinary team environment;
• Experience with HTP hybridoma screening or the design and evaluation of bi-specific/multi-specific antibodies and CAR-T projects;
• Solid knowledge and understanding of therapeutic antibody discovery and development;
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.

2. Senior Scientist/Scientist/Associate Scientist in Antibody Discovery

Key Responsibilities:

KLUS is looking for highly motivated associate scientists, scientists and senior scientists with experience in antibody discovery and development. The desired candidate should have strong research experience in at least one of the following fields:

  • Antibody discovery through hybridoma technology. The scientist is expected to plan and execute animal studies, immunogen preparation and administration in mice, blood and tissue sample collection, and screening antibody panels with ELISA and/or Flow cytometry.
  • Antibody engineering. The scientist is expected to provide molecular biology and antibody engineering support to our therapeutic antibody discovery projects. Responsibilities will include murine antibody humanization, the design and generation of antibody expression constructs, DNA/protein sequence analysis of multiple hybridoma mAb hits and phage displayed antibody hits, and the optimization of antibody candidates by phage display or yeast display.
  • Antibody functional evaluation. The scientist will perform antibody evaluation analysis such as ELISA, Octet, Flow Cytometry and cell-based assays. His/her work will contribute to the development, qualification and execution of assays such as internalization assays, ADCC and CDC assays, and other functional assays

Basic Qualifications:
• BS, MS or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 1 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
• The scientist will be expected to present scientific work to their supervisor and peers, prepare reports when necessary, demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage multiple experiments simultaneously.
• The scientist is responsible for notebook documentation to ensure experimental methods, write work-related SOP, and record results in a timely manner
• Must be independent, creative, and self-motivated

3. Post-Doc

Key Responsibilities:
KLUS is looking for highly motivated individual to join our post-doc programs. The individual will make contributions in one of the following 3 research fields:

  • Antibody discovery through hybridoma technology. The research will be focused on planning and executing animal studies, immunogen preparation and administration in mice, blood and tissue sample collection, and screening antibody panels with ELISA and/or Flow cytometry.
  • Antibody engineering. The research will be focused on providing molecular biology and antibody engineering support to our therapeutic antibody discovery projects. Responsibilities will include murine antibody humanization, the design and generation of antibody expression constructs, DNA/protein sequence analysis of multiple hybridoma mAb hits and phage displayed antibody hits, and the optimization of antibody candidates by phage display or yeast display.

• Must be independent, creative, and self-motivated.
• The candidate will perform literature and market research, especially in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as collect and analyze data through various databases
• The candidate will collect and evaluate information about different therapeutic targets/platforms to obtain preliminary information about a target’s overall efficacy, toxicity, and pharmacokinetics.
• The candidate will also present research data and write specific research reports based on different themes and topics.
